Little Pim Foreign Language DVD

Image and description from the Little Pim website:

Little Pim is an award-winning foreign language immersion DVD series for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. We currently offer three theme-based DVDs that use our unique Entertainment Immersion Method™, which combines animation and real kids, teaching simple words and phrases for everyday activities. Each program is available individually or in a discounted three-disc set. Currently we offer Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Hebrew, English (ESL), German, Arabic, and Russian.

Winner will get the following: DVD in a foreign language of their choice. My daughter has the French one and she just fell in love with Pim. My husband is fluent in French, so it has been fun for her to watch the DVD and learn more words.

Original Watercolor Painting

The artist, Shana, is one of our LDW ladies. You can find her on Facebook! I hope she won't mind if I quote her, but I loved this. "After reading all the posts lately, I really wanted to share a little beauty and luxury with the spouses. Sounds like the majority are going without so much, and art is always low on the list of priorities." So, true, Shana!

Winner will get the following:

A 7" x 5" original one-of-a-kind watercolor drawing. It's valued at $75 and comes unframed.

The perfect way to decorate our "pre-attending" drab homes. Or maybe I'm just projecting... haha!

Reader Question about General Surgery Residency

Here is a question from reader Allison:
*************

My husband is a MS1 and is thinking about all of his different options in terms of specialties. I was wondering what the General Surgery residency is like? What are most days like? How much time off each week (one day, no days, etc)? Is it crazy hard to do with a family? What makes it easier/harder than other specialties? We have a two year old and she obviously plays into his decision, and I thought this would be the best place to find out! Thank you so much!Allison
