An Idea

so, I was thinking it would be neat to make a post with the info on the med school or residency program we are each at. We would want info like Insurance, Cost of average rent, Salary, perks, etc...also maybe detailed info on how the med school/residency experience has been including number of hours worked a week, how call is, etc.
I thought it might be helpful for people that get on here.

Anyone interested? Any ideas of how we could organize it?

Allison said...: I think it would probably best be alphabetized by state and then each person lists where they have been.

The person looking for answers with those would then just get in contact with that other person.

Make sense?

Would this be a good format/place to consolidate the info? I know that her initial post really helped me out already as we are looking at medical schools and care very much about schools, churches, cost of living, etc.

I was going to post that exact info. I would be happy to connect it with this and we can keep it organized there. Just let me know! It hasn't gone very far, because I haven't gotten any other posts yet, But i would love to do more for it!

I had totally forgotten you did that! It only came to me to post this because someone asked me about Tech's residency insurance, etc... and so often I find myself in a position to answer those types of questions by incoming med students too since we have been here for almost 9 years.

If we expanded your idea and posted it on here by state or linked to it, it might drive more traffic to your site. We might be able to even link it to the residency site (Melisa? do you think that's possible?) for residency info too.
