Poll

There is a new poll up. Sorry, but there are a LOT of holidays, so I didn't include them all. If you select other, please let us know in next week's discussion which holiday is your favorite.

Any comments on last week's poll? My DrH is PGY3. Wow. This is a long road... I'm interested to hear from the 'applying to med school' group. Do you find this blog useful? Scary? Encouraging?

Also, I'm running low on poll ideas. Please leave a comment or email me with some new ideas. Thanks!

Mrs T said...: My DH is MS III and to be honest, I often find this blog overwhelming and depressing! (Sometimes I tell my DH about posts I have read and he tells me to stop reading!) Sometimes though, the reality of marrying into medicine is just not encouraging and the blog does help me face the facts sometimes. I think knowing the truth, rather than the candy coated version, is helpful even though it is not fun to read about. What I do know, is that if even I knew how bad it really is when we were dating in college(and yes, I do know that the worst of it has yet to come!) I still would have married him! Ams said...: Mrs T that is too funny... my SO is always telling me - STAY AWAY FROM THE MESSAGE BOARD. There will come a time though, that you are going to NEED the message board. And not only that, but people are going to need your help!!
I often get depressed and just wish for once that someone would sugar coat SOMETHING for me!

This blog has been honest, depressing, uplifting, encouraging, scary... all of those things!

And I am with you Mrs.T - even though this road looks like one huge uphill climb that will never end, I would trade one minute of it, if it meant that S wasn't in my life!

While some things have been scary and hard to read, mostly I find it incredibly informative!
