Stories

Since match is tomorrow, I'm hoping we'll hear where some 4th years are going! Does anyone have any good match stories to share?

My husband is a DO, so he could participate in the DO match back in February or in the Allopathic match happening this week.

We ended up going DO so, we found out mid -Feb that we would be heading to MI for an OB/GYN residency. People who waited to participate for the MD match found out at the beginning of this week IF they matched then later this week, they will be told WHERE they matched. I'm very excited to hear about everyone's match and where they are off to!

We got to scramble. Such a party. :o) I am so blessed that the Lord works in ways that I don't always understand. We are exactly where we need to be.

We went through the match and didnt match and then went through the scramble and still nothing. We were so down thinking we would have to wait another year and then a month later we received a call from a program that he had interviewed at offering him a position. That day was the best day ever.
For the ID fellowship Damian received a pre-match so we knew right after his interview, that was such a relief.

It is pretty nerve-wracking to scramble, huh. But it all works out great in the end!
