How much do you see your husband Poll

I was telling my hubby about this poll and he asked, "So, of the people that answered, how far are they into training/practice?" I am curious about this too.

I chose 10-15 hours. I assumed that if he was sleeping or sitting on the couch working that it didn't count as time with him.

Now, what about you all??

20 hours I guess would come if they were home during the weekend? 12 hours on Saturday and 12 on Sunday? I chose 'what husband' since I haven't lived with him for 6 months. :o)

I was 20+ hours because my husband is a med student - I consider time with him the time he is awake and not in bed, but I would consider time spent studying or resting on the couch time together.

Since my husband's now practicing, I chose 20+ hours because he has such a great schedule now, and the only time he may be gone for a long time period would be if he's really busy during his call shift and can't get away from the hospital. If he were still in residency, though, I probably would have picked 15-20 hours or maybe even as low as 5-10, depending on his rotation. His night float months would have been 5-10 because when he was home during the week, he was sleeping for his night shift, and he would spend most of his weekends sleeping. I wouldn't count that as "spending time with us".

Sorry to post twice in a row, but actually, I would have probably said "What husband?" during his night float rotation months! ;)

I put "What Husband", lol, since at the time of the poll he had been studying for neuro two weeks straight (even over spring break) and was home like 1 am - 6:30 am - just to sleep. Now that neuro is over, this last week was easier and he was home one afternoon and Sunday, so I guess about 10 - 15 hours. Obviously, we're MSIs.

I chose 20+ hours. DH is a PGY3 in ER. I based it on an ER month as opposed to the unpredictable rotation months. The days he works we get about 3 hours of awake time with him.

For weeks that he's on call for the weekend, I'd agree that 10-15 hours is about right. When he has weekends off I'd say maybe 25 or 30. He's a 3rd year urology resident.
