Free! As in NO LOANS!!! Wow. I'm speechless. What do you guys think about this?

Mrs. Dawkter said...: Okay so medical school is different than law school because its much easier to move on from medical school into the working world because a)there isn't a surplus of doctor's (like lawyers) and b)they need residents - afterall they get to pay them crap schedule them to work a gazillion hours... but off my tangent ... I would still be worried about coming from a school with NO reputation. Again although law and medicine are totally different, I had a hard time getting a job because I went to a law school that has only been around a half a century.....Then again maybe I am just jealous that we missed out on this opportunity and therefore I am just being skeptical!; March 18, 2009 at 10:29 PM
Melisa said...: We have lots of law friends here since there are 2 law schools in town. I know the medical system isn't perfect, but the law one just seems messed up! My friend's hub is graduating this summer, but he can only be paralegal until he takes the bar next Feb! That is working 8 months as a paralegal for no good reason! They won't let him take it before he graduates even though it is only a couple of months difference. I feel so bad for them! And of the 3 of my friends that graduated last June, I don't know a single one that has found a job in law yet. Oy! Can you explain the system better to me, Marissa? As hard as the medical system is, the law one seems harder! Maybe not harder, but more, oh, I don't know a word! Help!; March 18, 2009 at 10:51 PM
