Loan Repayment

Okay so I like to obsess and worry and I am seriously trying to figure out this loan repayment stuff (I know I only have a year - right?) So I admit I'm crazy, but I posted about how I think used to work out and how I think it works out right now - but I am pretty sure I am possibly way off.... if you ladies don't mind would you please stop by my post and give me some feedback so I can put things together? Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure you can defer and just collect interest. Our loans are close to 200,000 and we are in our third year and hubby has not made any freaked out wretching noises yet, so I think we are currently in the clear. ;)

With that being said, if you do have to let your interest accrue, so be it. One thing I have learned with this lifestyle is that you do your best to keep afloat. If that means you eat interest, so be it.

For this same reason, I am not worrying about it. Here's why...First: Even if I went back to work as a fulltime teacher, we could not survive if we have to pay back loans now. Between fulltime daycare and mortgage and interest, we would not eat. Second: Most areas have shortages of doctors as is...if the expectation for paying back is so bad, doctors in professions such as family practice where shortages are the worst would not be able to support their families...and there would be no more going to med school. Third: My hubby is pretty good about keeping up with this stuff, so if he isn't worried, I am not going to stress over it.

You might eventually freak me out if you find some legit info, but if I were you, I would just sit back and enjoy this very long and sometimes scary ride. :)
