Lives of Doctor Wives: Radiology is Rad!

Radiology is Rad!

Hey y'all! I'm Stacie and my husband Chad is a surgery intern at OU this year and starts Radiology Residency at the University of Tennessee July 1st. We have 3 kiddos: Cougar 7, Juliet 3 and Brock 7 months.

Surgery is just the worst. The alarm is set for 3:30 am so I really should go to bed, because I know I won't be able to go to sleep after Chad gets up and leaves for work.

I can't wait for Radiology to start! In 24 hours I am leaving for TN to "scramble" to find a house before the physician mortgage loans go bye-bye on March 31st. I always thought Chad and I would search for our first home together, BUT no such luck. Surgery is a life sucker and I have to go by myself. : (

Nice to meet you all. It's great to know I'm not alone!

The video is great! Did you husband go to OU for med school - how did you guys end up there, and what made him decide to do surgery for his Intern year? Congrats on your match in TN and good luck with your home-search!

Yes! Chad went to OU for med school. It was great! He did surgery because he doesn't like people : ). He's very social, just doesn't do well listening to people complain. He just wants to go in and fix the problem. Mostly, he wants to go into interventional radiology and he thought a year of surgery would be a great learning experience. He enjoys surgery, but the personalities have been interesting!

Your title is funny - last year for father's day I got my husband license plates that read "RAD DAD".

Just now got to watch the video - love it!

Have fun house hunting in Tennessee. My best friend lives in Jackson, so I look for houses near her sometimes - everything is so cheap!! I'm sure you'll find something great. :)
