PA school?

Does anyone have experience with Physicians Assistant school or know someone who has? Do you know any where to go to get information on it? Perhaps a blog? ;o)

I know they don't take the MCAT, but that's about it! I think they take the GRE. I know a girl who couldn't pass the MCAT and she was considering PA school, but ended up going to podiatry school. There, that's the breadth of my knowledge... :o)

I've actually applied and been accepted. PA school does require the GRE and not the MCAT. I have multiple friends in PA school and it certainly is hard in many ways. It's actually harder to get accepted to the programs: most require higher GPAs than med schools and multiple years of direct patient care. Also, since they try to fit med school into 2 years, students are in class from 8-5 (the med students are normally out by noon most days). My husband is a med student and I prefer PA because it's shorter and allows more flexibility (you can switch specialities at any time and for one day when I'm a mom I can just work in the mornings when kids are at school). Tasha, you may just be the gal I need to talk to. My brother is trying to decide between PA school and med school. Currently he is an undergrad, but now is the time to make those decisions. His wife was asking me questions, and I could cover the med school ones, but not the PA ones. You have experience with both, so maybe you'd be more helpful to her.
