January Recap/February Check In

Happy February! How are all of you doing?

How many of you were effected by this week's massive storm? We were, but my husband was able to get safely to and from the hospital and we never lost power, so it wasn't too bad! Were all of you able to stay safe in the crazy weather?

We had a pretty uneventful January and nothing much scheduled for February. We are looking forward to another quiet month.

How was your January? Anything exciting planned for February? Do you MSIVs have your rank lists finalized? Only a month and a half till Match day! Good luck to all of you!

Melisa said...: I think January was good. Kind of a blur. LOL! We seemed to have a lot of school delays and canceled school. Or maybe it just felt that way because my kids drove me nuts. :o)

We are doing the application process for fellowships, so that has been a little stressful. It will be nice when we know where/if we are going.; February 3, 2011 at 10:43 PM
Anonymous said...: Like Melisa, we are in the middle of fellowship applications. My husband has one interview under his belt, 11 more (so far) to go. It hasn't been terribly stressful yet, so I'm optimistic! And we just got tickets last night for me to go with him to two interviews. (Well, obviously not on the interviews themselves!) So that should be fun!

I'm anxious to know where we'll end up though. But am trying to be open-minded and patient.; February 4, 2011 at 9:20 AM
Carol said...: We've been stressed as my husband hasn't had much luck getting the fellowship he wanted. We're still waiting to hear back from one final place, but time is running out and if he doesn't get this spot, we'll have to give up and look for a regular job. I thought when we finished residency all these doors would be open to us, but it hasn't really panned out that way. Hopefully we'll have some plans soon!; February 4, 2011 at 1:38 PM
