Lives of Doctor Wives: His real job

His real job

The other night, Brad and I decided to snuggle and watch movies. No, not the latest romantic comedy. We watched something like this: ***warning, might be a little too graphic if you can handle looking up a nose LOL! ***

He was watching it, and some others, in preparation for a procedure he would be performing, a balloon sinuplasty. Maybe it is because I don't see him performing operations and working in the hospital, but sometimes it is strange to think what his job is when I see him helping with dishes and taking out the trash. But, if you asked Brad, I'd bet he would say his real job is being the amazing father he is to our children and the wonderful and supportive spouse he is to me. He is just that awesome.

Melisa, I am cracking up! (again - you always seem to do that to me!) The first time M did a cataract surgery, he brought home the tape (yes, it was a VHS tape. We've been doing this for a while...) The entire TV screen was one giant eyeball, then from the lower corner comes a big ol' scalpel. Yeah. I lasted about 2.7 seconds. There are 537 reasons I am not a doctor.

Ha! Totally get you here. The first (and last) time J showed me a video was one of a surgical technique on pigs and I seriously felt light headed. It is strange to think of my husband's hands cutting up somebody, and sewing them back up for that matter. Now if only I could get him to put his dirty laundry IN the hamper, not just NEAR it. :)

I learned just from watching those plastic surgery shows that I am not cut out to be a dr! Blood seriously makes me light headed. Thus, I haven't watched the video, but seriously - is that a nose? Could've fooled me!

Thats funny, my hubby and I did the same thing on Friday night, only our "movies" were him doing a robotic prostatectomy and then a total penectomy. It really is strange to think that this is what they do, only to come home and be a "regular guy" at the end of every day.
