Tasty Tuesdays: Super Bowl Sunday

Everyone knows that Super Bowl Sunday isn't just about football... it's also about the food! We asked the Lives of Doctor Wives Facebook group what their favorite Super Bowl recipes are and we thought we'd do a recipe roundup here. There are some good ones! Here are the responses:

• Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars - "Maybe it's not totally superbowl-ish, but I did make these a couple years ago for a Superbowl party, and they were a huge hit!" http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/peanut-butter-and-jelly-bars-recipe/index.html
• "A huge success for any party is the following: wrap lil smokies in 1/3 strip of bacon. Secure with toothpick. Place in 9x9 baking dish. Cover with brown sugar. Bake at 350 or so for a half hour. Heaven."
• "Good 'ole pigs in a blanket- cocktail style!"
• "We always do a taco bar for Super Bowl Parties. I make the taco meat on the stove and then transfer it to the crockpot to keep it warm. Folks can make tacos or nachos with it!"

• "Buffalo dip or bagel dip. Google buffalo dip. Bagel dip is 1 jar Old English cheese and 1 pkg 8 oz chive and onion cream cheese. Serve with cut up bagels or crackers. The only downside to those is you usually leave empty-handed!:)"

• "Mini pigs in a blanket, potato skins (gotta have pigs and skins!), buffalo wing dip (served with tortilla chips, celery, and carrot sticks). And I think a festive dessert is a must, even if it's just sugar cookies frosted with your team's colors."
